The Big Banana Fun Park

Experience the Giant Slide called The Racer – the biggest slide of its kind in the country. Chill out in the Water Park including 4 thrill slides and kids aqua play area. Ride the famous 650m downhill Toboggan overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Enjoy a game of Mini-Golf on their 36 hole Mini-Golf course. Enter the Alien world in their State-of-the-art Laser Tag arena. Join in the fun with a session in their Ice Rink.

Learn about the banana industry in the World of Bananas Theatre and Plantation Tour. For the sweet tooth, no trip to The Big Banana Fun Park is complete without a visit to the Candy Kitchen. Grab a spot of lunch at the wonderful Go Bananas Cafe, then shop to your hearts desire in the Gift Shop.

The new Big Banana Fun Zone is now open and features some of the latest ticket redemption gaming machines in the world. It also features a toddler play area and coin operated fairy floss machine.

Come and try the new 4D ride simulator , the only one of it’s kind between Sydney and the Gold Coast. Featuring four films – Moon Thunder, Dino Safari 2, Machinarum and Wild West Mine ride. Catering for all age groups, from our younger visitors through to the young at heart.

You’ll also find the popular Cheesemaking Workshop & Deli and the Opal Centre in the grounds of The Big Banana.

The only attraction at The Big Banana Fun Park that is stopped by the rain is the Toboggan ride, however, once the sun comes back out and the track dries out, it’s back up and running in no time.  Mini Golf is completely up to players, so will remain open for those who don’t mind ‘putting during precipitation’.

Their vision is to engage and inspire people to conserve marine animals and their environment for future generations through interactive education and edu-tainment.

Open your eyes to a world of marine magic and be charmed by amazing marine animals. Receive fishy kisses from a dolphin and a wet hug from a seal, feed the little blue penguins, pat and play with the dolphins poolside, meet the turtles and fish and be edu-tained by the daily Marine Discovery Presentation.

For a truly memorable experience enter the water with a dolphin or a seal and learn about the animals history and natural biology in a hands on learning experience. Land based private encounters are also available.

Solitary Islands Aquarium

Dive indoors and explore the marine life of the Coffs Coast!

The Solitary Islands Aquarium serves as an important community asset helping to bring an awareness and appreciation for the marine environment through education and science. Their facility is focused on regional species, resource management and conservation.

The aquarium provides an intimate experience for guests to learn about and to interact with marine life of the Coffs Coast through a series of aquariums, guided tours, and visual displays AND it’s all indoors so perfect for those rainy days.

A visit to the Aquarium will be a memorable and enriching experience for all ages.

Coffs Harbour Butterfly House

The tranquil Coffs Harbour Butterfly House is an indoor tropical habitat for around 400 live Australian butterflies and offers visitors the opportunity to “Get Close to Nature” and perhaps have a butterfly land on them.

The Butterfly House operates year round regardless of the weather and helpful staff members are always on hand to explain and answer questions about butterflies and their habitat.

The live bug exhibit also intrigues visitors as does the outdoor walled maze.

Check out our great new dinosaur enclosure and daily shows featuring “Gerald” the T Rex and “Big Blue” the velociraptor.

Visitors can enjoy refreshments in the cafe or purchase a memento of their visit in the gift shop.

Carobana Confectionery

Carobana Confectionery is Coffs Harbour’s own confectionery factory, family owned and operated since 1980.

Carob and honeycomb are their main products, but they stock a large range of other sweets such as peanut brittle to tempt you, and maybe even bring back fond memories.

Whether it’s rain hail or shine, call in for a browse or bring a friend in to share a hot cuppa. They would love to see you and will make you feel most welcome.

National Cartoon Gallery @ The Bunker

The National Cartoon Gallery @ The Bunker is a unique heritage listed RAAF underground WWII bunker, which has been converted to Australia’s only dedicated cartoon gallery.

The gallery houses the largest private collection of original cartoons in the southern hemisphere (over 21,000) and exhibits new cartoons year-round, with blockbuster exhibitions approximately every two to three months.

​The Gallery is home to the new biennial National Still Life Award; a nationally significant, acquisitive art award celebrating the genre of still life, open to all mediums.

Woolgoolga Art Gallery is a community based gallery run by volunteers.

There are regular exhibitions, classes and workshops in a variety of arts and crafts. All exhibition items are for sale.

The Lillipilli Art Exhibition is a major exhibition which has been running for 30 years and attracts a hung range of entries both local and further afield.

Coffs Harbour Regional Museum

The Coffs Harbour Regional Museum brings history to life for all the family.

Locals and visitors alike can discover a world of stories, to spark memories and the imagination. Hear stories of spiritual connection to the land from Gumbaynggirr Elder and artist Uncle Tony Hart. Get to know the Sea Captain who Coffs Harbour is named after – hear about the spelling mistake!

Find out about pioneering men and women – lighthouse keepers, gold miners, farmers, timber workers and fishers. And the romance kindled via morse code.

See our locally invented flying machine and meet the brave hero who was awarded multiple medals in World Wars I and II.

Children can enjoy the interactive sections of the museum where you’re encouraged to touch the exhibits, and follow the treasure trail throughout the museum, working out clues as they go.

The Museum is housed in Coffs Harbour’s original Courthouse and Police Station. Find out what trials took place, who the criminals were that were jailed here, and see how small their exercise yard was. The charmingly-restored 1907 building is an historical gem of the Coffs Harbour region.
