Untouched Beaches
Sawtell boasts 2km of untouched beaches. With two headlands, there’s always a protected surf spot. The main beach is patrolled in Summer and has a large wooden viewing platform and café. Sawtell Island & Bay offer snorkelling and calm shallow waters – ideal for families.

Across the road from our park entrance is Sawtell Bowling & Recreation Club. Enjoy the club’s friendly atmosphere for lawn bowls, competitive bowls, a cold beverage, or a meal from their restaurant.

Sawtell Village – just a 4 min walk – is one of the most popular spots on the Coffs Coast. Along with the magnificent fig trees of First Avenue are a collection of boutiques, cafés, restaurants, a heritage cinema, RSL and pub. Experience some of the finest food and coffee on the coast.
Bush Tracks Leading Directly to Creek
Take a breath of fresh air, stroll down our bush tracks that take you directly to the pristine coastal creek – and float along with the current to where the creek meets the beach.
Close to Coffs Harbour Butterfly House
Stroll amongst hundreds of live Australian butterflies in an indoor subtropical rainforest. See dinosaurs come to life in live daily dinosaur shows, and meet baby dinosaurs who roam throughout the grounds. Walk through the dinosaur forest and witness the life sized dinosaurs that roar and move.
ViewBoambee Creek Reserve
A spectacular day reserve just a 4 min drive away. Locals love it for swimming, kayaking, fishing, stand-up paddle-boarding and picnics. The beautiful creek is perfect for small children, and also offers playground facilities. Stay for the day and use the BBQ shelters or the café.
Bongil Bongil National Park
Sawtell is bounded by Bongil Bongil National Park. Enjoy rainforest walks, mountain biking, fishing, picnics and animal spotting. A large koala population lives there and are often seen sleeping in the treetops.
ViewBonville Headland
The headland has spectacular views and is a great place for a sunset picnic. It’s also a premium whale-watching spot. There’s a lovely headland walk, ocean pool, beach and shallow rock pools for the little ones. It’s a must-visit and located just across the creek from the park.
