Sea Birds Returned

Sea Birds Returned

Little Turns have once again returned to our foreshores for breeding on the southern side of Bonville Creek.  They nest on the ground in the open, on sand dunes at sites along the NSW coast. There is a large breeding ground situated on the southern side of Bonville Creek.  This site is regularly monitored by NPWS and has been an identified breeding site since at least 1971. Nesting season is between September & February.

The Little Tern has been declared an endangered species and the Department of Environment and Conservation is actively promoting its protection.
