Whale Watching In Coffs Harbour
Details
Coffs Coast the ideal place to experience migrating whales and their calves from excellent whale viewing spots. Another excellent experience is to see the whales up-close on board one of the professional whale-watching cruises available from operators such as Pacific Explorer. Surfing and Swimming

There are several excellent surf breaks to discover on the Coffs Coast. Choose from Diggers or Park Beach in Coffs Harbour or Trap Door at Sawtell and Woolgoolga Beach. You can hire surfing gear from local surf shops or take a lesson from one of our skilled surfing professionals. There are dozens of beaches to swim at with lifeguards on duty all year round at Park Beach and other beaches during the warmer months of the year. Make sure you swim safely between the flags.
Solitary Islands Marine Park
Details
The Solitary Islands has everything for the water enthuasist including diving, snorkelling, swimming, surfing, beach walking, whale watching, birdwatching, fishing and boating. The marine park shelters over 280 species of fish, four species of turtle and around 90 species of coral. There are colourful sea slugs and plenty of marine mammals, including migrating humpback whales during colder months.
Markets
Details
The Coffs Coast has great markets to experience live performances and music, great local produce, locally made crafts and lots more. There’s the Growers Market in the City Mall every Thursday, the Bellingen Markets every 3rd Saturday, the Jetty Markets and uptown markets every Sunday. Plus in Woolgoolga there’s the Bollywood Beach Bazaar (1st and 4th Saturday of the month) and the Woolgoolga Beach Markets (2nd Saturday each month).
Golf

There are eleven courses throughout the Coffs Coast and each has its own special character. Golfers have the privellege of playing on the four-times voted ‘Australia’s Most Beautiful Golf Course’ at Bonville Golf Resort, enjoy a relaxed round at a country club or the more upbeat feel of greens in the city.

Fishing

The Coffs Coast offers river, beach, deep-sea and estuary fishing. When fishing off the beach you can expect to hook flathead, tailor, jewfish and bream and deep sea fishing sea catches include snapper, kingfish, tuna and even marlin. Don’t forget you need to get a NSW recreational fishing licence which can be obtained at any of parks.

Discover Sealy Lookout
Details
Sealy Lookout lies within Bruxner Park Flora Reserve, Orara East State Forest, close to Coffs Harbour NSW. The Forest Sky Pier at Sealy Lookout offers the visitor an amazing 180 degree views over the Coffs Harbour coastline. The Forest Sky Pier extends 21 metres out from the Lookout, and stands 15 metres above the forest floor. Head north of from Coffs Harbour on the Pacific Highway, turn left onto Bruxner Park Road just north of the Big Banana. Free enrty.
Canoeing
Details
Canoeing and Kayaking options include many rivers and creeks on the Coffs Coast. You can spend hours paddling your way across calm waters surrounded by nature. Often the only sounds you’ll hear are the birds and the rustling of leaves. Try Bonville Creek in Bongil Bongil National Park, next door to our Sawtell Park or the Bellinger River between Bellingen and Raleigh. You can also paddle around in Woolgoolga Lake adjacent to our Lakeside Park. Kayaks and canoes can be hired in several locations.
Camel Rides
Details
A beach ride on a camel is a unique experience you’ll remember forever. Sitting high atop this ship of the desert, you’ll instantly leave all your worries behind. It’s also an educational experience, as you’ll learn amazing facts about these gentle animals from the friendly handlers, who walk in front of and behind the ‘camel caravan’. Camel rides are held on Boambee Beach, which is the straight, long beach between Jetty Beach in Coffs Harbour and Boambee Creek in Sawtell.

You can also do the Korora Bay walk which is very flat for an easy stroll. Or try the Muttonbird Island walk at the Coffs Harbour International Marina
